Hi Jek,

Can you please expand the allowance list to include the additional allowance which is given for the first tranche of earned income (state pension is considered to be earned income).

Do you know anywhere that the Resident form Modelo 100 can be downloaded without having the internet passport.  Is there anywhere that there are examples of the form filled for someone who just has a full State Pension from UK witha very small Personal Pension which totals less than the sum of the personal allowance + earned income .

 Great info thanks

So if you earn investment income only( say from letting property in the uk) and pension then you do not get any personaly allowance?

also do you know if there is any form of child benefit for an unemployed single mother with 1 child under 18?

thanks

As UK pensioner with a full standard State Pension of just over £100 pw and a very small Private Pension of about £780 pa. My figures look like this when my pensions are exported untaxed from UK.

Allowances €5151 personal                                   Pensions   SP £6000.00

                  €2652  earned income                                        PP £0780.00

                  €0918 over 65                                                        £6800.00

                                                    £1 = €1.1       x   1.1

Total allowances   €8721                                                            €7480.00

So when I submit my first Modelo100 later this month I will pay no tax since my allowances are more than my income.  This would be the case for anyone with just a State Pension and a small Private Pension.  In the case of a Private Pension paid as an annuity the Tax treatment  in Spain is very favourable so that you could have quite a bit more income before breaching the total allowances.
