Claiming social security

Hi, a friend of ,mine worked 6 months for a company ( two 3 month contracts). Her contract has now ended. Can she claim anything from INEM or social security or would she need to have been working for 12 months?

 You have to have worked on contract minimum 12 months in the past 5 years
