Moving to spain - help

My other half is just about to move to spain (manilva) and I will be commuting to england to work two weeks out of every month.
To have transport in spain I am going to buy a moped. Has anyone got any advice on whether I should buy the moped in England and have it shipped or buy one in spain.
Also, I wont be a spanish resident so does anyone know how I can get insurance?

If you buy one in the UK it will require to be re-registered in Spain within 6 months which will cost you so best buy a Spanish one. If you reside more than 183 days in the year as you say you will, you will, I understand, be classed as a Spanish resident so check this out carefully.
Insurance isn't a problem.

Buy a new one from a dealer, you will pay a bit more but you wont get any finesor old speeding tickets like you might do if you buy 2nd hand. Shop round for your insurance get a few quotes
