CHANGING ADDRES FOR THE CAR

Hello, can anyone tell us where we go to tell the traffic office that we have moved address and area. We lived in Andalucia and now in Castellon. We need to inform whoever so we can receive our car tax renewal papers in the post.

In Spain car tax is issued by your Town Hall and it's due for everyone at the same time every year. I think it's due around now. They normally send a bill, but as the post here is unreliable you are better to go to the Townhall, (Ayuntamiento) before 2pm to pay it.

You need to go to your nearest SUMA office where the details are on computer, take your last bill and matriculation card in with you if you can.

There are no tax discs here, the little coloured rectangular stickers are for the ITV (MOT) expiry date

The car tax is due between February and May and if you go past the date you go to the SUMA office where they reissue the bill with a financial penaltie. If you have no bill go to the SUMA office with your matriculation card where ther will isue you a bill. which is payable at several banks
