Bad Experiences Buying Property abroad

Hi there

I am a first year student at Leeds University, and am currently doing a research task on people/couples having issues or bad experiences when buying property abroad. I am looking for examples that relate to this topic and at the reasons why some people have had issues buying property abroad and also how people have overcome these  problems.
