Hi All,

I've been visiting (and occasionally contributing) to this site for a few months now and I'm really impressed with the content, site management and (generally) helpful nature of the contributors/members. I'll never be the sort of person who engages in regular chatting, but it's great to know that there are so many people who are willing to help if I need it. The latest site developments are a real help and reduce the chance of us "newcomers" posting in the wrong area and getting targetted by the Thread Police !!

We've bought a 4 bed Off-Plan Appartment on the Vista Hermosa development between Sotogrande & La Linea, due for completion in Oct 2008. As we still don't have a clue where the money for the completion will come from (ie. the remaining 80%), we must be the only people on the site hoping that the development gets delayed !!.

This is all part of a 10 year plan which will hopefully see us gaining some knowledge of the the Spanish property scene, learning the language, establishing some Spanish equity etc, before relocating  fully from the UK to the Alpujarras region.

If anyone has any first hand knowledge of the Apujarras area or knows of an associated and active forum, I would love to hear from you.

We are flying out to Granada next week, spending a few days in the Alpujarras before driving over to Marbella to check progress at Vista Hermosa. I've already added info to the associated development thread, and I'll update this with new photos when we get back.
