Just need some advice please - we are trying to register my wife in the Spanish Healthcare system. We already completed the paperwork (in San Pedro de Alcantara) a couple of months ago and are waiting for her card to come through.
Our postal address is in Benahavis, but we don't live in the Village so its far more convenient to visit San Pedro. We were advised by the helpful assistant in San Pedro to go to Benahavis and to change Doctor from there as San Pedro can't take you on without you doing this....
We have now visited Benahavis Health Centre twice and it seems there is nobody there who is able to help us - it appears there are no 'administrative' staff there at all and they only operate an appointment system which is posted on the surgery wall daily, presumably by having made an appointment over the phone, but I'm really not sure....!
Our Spanish is reasonable, but we seem to be being passed from pillar to post and my head is beginning to hurt!
Any advice would be gratefully received.....
