Need to get to Bank in Benidorm

Having moved out of Spain we need to get our remaining money transfered back. Our bank now says we have to visit as they no longer allow FAXes to Spain to give instructions (a year ago they did). So what's the best way to get to Benidorm? We suspect we need to go to Alicante airport and bus from there but the only flights in from where we are arrive at 8.00pm. We are planning to do this in late Febuary 2011. Any advice appreciated.
PS any english B&B in Bendorm say near the bus station?
