Driving lessons

Can anyone tell me of an english driving instructor near Benidorm, also an english teacher for the theory exam which I understand you can take in english.

Thank you for that, but I already rang and they are not covering Benidorm at the moment, apparantly not enough interest!  So the search continues.

Cant you drive to where they are????? Boom Boom - gosh you can tell its friday and im BORED already!

Im having the same problem finding an English speaking Driving Instructor too, here on the outskirts of Benidorm! I am actively looking and, if I hear of anything, I will let you know. Can you do the same for me too?

 Hi Their, I think it seems to be in Spain quite hard to find an English speaking driving instructor.  But where we are their was a few youngsters going back to England to take crash courses and then the test.  So good luck but someone might come along here perphaps you should advertisie.  Regards Pat

Thanks for replying. It does seem to be the only alternative- to go to UK and take an intensive course. I think if any qualified Brit was to start a Driving School here, they would be inundated! lol. Will keep looking in the meantime tho'

Hello Lulacat I am Dee and I am a member of the EOS Team and I just noticed you point about a qualified Brit Driving Instructor

would do well here.  Well unfortunately they can't.  My husband was a qualified Driving Instructor when we moved out here and

he wanted to teach and the Driving Schools desperately wanted him too, but Spain being Spain would not recognise his EU

Licence to teach he was told that he would have to retake the whole thing in Spanish!!.  The driving schools even wrote to Madrid to try and get the decision changed but they would not budge.

That is such a shame that your fella is qualified and can't teach here. Spanish red tape is the worst.

Just seen this for theory lessons Playa Flamenca, Guardamar, La Marina, on the CB.

 Apparently the book is 75 euros, then its 10 euros a lesson , then when you pass that he puts you onto someone for the driving. It seems he is going to start doing an all in package which will be approx 200 euros all in for book and lessons.

Hi, I live in Marbella where you can do the theory part of the test in English, so perhaps if you keep looking you will find someone in your area. Also I agree it’s a good idea to run a small ad.

Just found an online english speaking driving school based in Elche but they CAN help people in other areas of the Costa Blanca to learn to drive.  They have ONLINE TESTS and will post all they things you need to help you learn to drive and obtain a Spanish driving license in your area etc.  They cover Spanish, English and German versions as well as more I think. They also offer crash courses too, they are called 'trafik' and there website ends with  dot es.
