According to Barbara Knoflc, CEO of Seb Asset Management, Madrid is the third most expensive place to buy in after London and New York. They state that buy-to-let is not a good investment in Madrid as the cost of buying a property far exceeds the rental returns.
Think I'll stick to the coast myself....

Weather not as good either - but some fantastic architecture (check out the new airport) and culture - Why do you think Dave and Vicki moved there - surely not for the money or the shopping
