copy N.I.E certificate

 can anyone help my husband has lost his nie certificate, i have mine.  We know his nie number but have to obtain a copy of this certificate for the sevillana, as we live in england just wondered if we have to go in person to obtain this or can our lawyer do this.  thanks

Your lawyer can do this for you.  Many lawyers often sort out the NIE numbers for their clients, but obviously it will cost you.

If it's only a copy you want then ask your lawyer to email a scanned copy over to you - he should have one on file!

I rarely use my original and for years I had lost it and then I decided to get it re-issued and I think that might have had something to do with needing the original for a fishing licence (which I do have!!!).

You can't tell a good quality colour scan from the original and it's only sevillana endesa ......

If you bought a property someone has a copy on file!

There should be a copy bound in with your escritura.

Or where have you produced it before - bank? - someone will have a copy on file.

Or just do the electricity contract in your name only.
