Hurry Up

Hi All,

It's now just under two weeks til I'm back to Spain. Roll on. I'm really desperate to go and need time to pass by quicker. If anyone is going to Spain around the same time as me please reply!

13 today, 12 tomorrow, 11 on Tuesday, 10 on Wednesday, Single figures on Thursday!

 Ha! Only 7 for me!!!    Can't wait!

Know how you feel, Sue used to count down the number of sleeps till we went.

Why not?

It makes it seem not so long until you go and makes the days quicker.

Won't be there til the 10th April.  Mind you, I was there last month (and the month before, and the month before).  No bites on the house sale in UK so no date for moving permanently yet.

I'm flying out on the the 2nd April like wise I was out last month. I start counting on day of departure my return.

 I'm here now (till 23rd April) & each time I shop in Lidl's or Consum at Dona Pepa I think of you, Bob, & wonder where your place is & maybe we've walked past each other at some time.

The weather could do with a bit of improvement! How's it been near you More?

We didn't step outside all yesterday (Sunday) as it just rained all day, Tony.

Saturday was 20C in the shade around 11.30am (Almoradi market) but the sun didn't show, pleasant though.

Very hit & miss & you can't rely on the forecast as it changes so much.

 We fly out next Sun afternoon, so won't arrive 'till 6ish. Hopefully it will have picked up by then! We're there for a week and my daughter arrives on the Wed, hope its nice for her 'cos its her first visit to our place!

I'm flying to Murcia Airport on Saturday 3rd April and I have a late flight so won't be getting there til late! Nevermind.

It is 07.50am on the Costa Del Sol and the sun is out already.....forecast is for sunshine all day!!!!!

I live here all year round, so lucky, hppe you all enjoy your time here.

I´m now checking the weather in London, and hoping that the BBC have got it wrong!  We fly back this Thursday and return on Monday, so we´re only there for a long weekend, to help friends celebrate their recent wedding and see our families of course.  Like More, we watched the rain falling all day on Sunday. John had to drag our dog Lisa outside last night for her final walk, which is most unusual, but clearly she´s not keen on rain either!  Today is looking brighter though.

Probably have, More.  Use Consum quite a lot and Lidls not so much (usually just to get a few packs of the German beer when it's on offer.  Tell you what, when I go shopping in Consum in future, I'll wear a big cardboard smiley (well, makes a change from a carnation).

And while I know where you live (ooh, that sounded scarey, didn't mean it like that) well, the rough area (again, didn't mean the area is rough, just have a rough idea of where it is), we live on Albamar which is up towards the other shopping centre which has Laurel and Hardys (now changed to Coopers Arms) pub and restaurant,  Right next to where they are building the new medical centre.  You can't miss Albamar, it has a big Cleopatras needle at the entrance and pyramids on top of some of the flats (think the builder once had a holiday in Egypt). 

So, next time you are shopping in Consum, don't forget the big cardboard smiley.

We move out on 31st March, house all packed, van and ferry all booked.

We were both made redundant at Christmas so decided better to retire early and be poor in Spain than in the UK.

Roll on hot weather....

Alancambs.  All the best in your new life and hope you have a great time.  Was hoping to be there myself by now but agreed to stay on in work until the end of this month.  All our stuff is already in Spain and will be joining you very soon (well, not literally but will be in the same country at least).

We were originally going to move out in 3 years time but by being made redundant  the decision was made for us, as my wife says it’s cheaper to live in Spain than England and we also have the bonus of retiring earlier.

Much more relex lifestyle, outdoor living is a must and the exchange rate can only get better.

Take the plunge and pack up and do the move.

Come on Alan! We're ready and waiting for you!!!
