Whilst cleaning our Phase 3a apartment we noticed a lot of tiny, light brown bugs / mites, were taking up residence between the marble skirting tiles and the marble floor tiles.  Basically they were residing in any crevices that were available.  Whilst not a major problem (at present), I'd like to try to keep it that way, so I've asked Roda Customer Services & technical Department for advice on what to spary to keep the potential problem under control, but neither have been able to offer anything of value, except to suggest there might be something in a local supermarket.

Has anyone else used any chemical spray (that they could recommend) to deal with these and any other little nasties.

John

Hi there John,

Most bug powders or sprays will work, but be very careful on your marble floor. I restore and polish marble floors and have seen a few floors that have been stained around the edge with bug sprays, so best to try an inconspicuous area first. Also make sure it's for internal use.

Good Luck

Mike

Thanks Mike

Appreciate your advice.
Now I understand why Roda Customer Services (although the didn't recommend a product) did say, "just be careful with your marble floor".  I assume once the marble has been stained that its virtually impossible to come out.

Anyone one else got an advice re specific spray / or powder to use in Spain?

Hi John

I have to say I think that you are letting Roda off the hook a bit here as there may be a more serious problem than you think.  If there are nests behind the marble you will never rid yourself of them without professional help I had a similar problem in the UK.  For a brand new build there should definately not be any nooks or cranies that could harbour any infestations.  I too have heard that marble stains so be careful

Laura
