There is a good choice of eating places in downtown LA.

The El Patio is a very Spanish with the biggest BBQ i have ever seen. The food is GR8 off the bbq with a large portion of chicken at 4.50 euro. The house vino from Jumilla which has just won a silver medal is 5* at only 4.20 euro

In the precint next to the Mercadona supermarket you have La Diva and Bayside both more international. Good food but far more expensive than El Patio.

Down by the arch near the Oasis you have the Roblemar, which has the best selection of fresh fish/shell fish you will find any where in Spain. This is also a lovely Tapas bar next door with fantastic selection of Serrano hams and all kinds of fishy things.

In the centre of LA is La Encarnation which is also a boutique hotel. This is a class place with GR8 atmosphere, both in summer and autumn. In fact in July we joined in on one of their dinner dances on the outside terrace. Live music and a real knees up Spanish style.

The rest on the 1st floor at the Hotel 525 is well worth a visit especially this time of the year, when its not warm enough for al fresco dining.

We had a nice meal ,not to expensive and with 5* service.

This is a must visit rest just out side the city of Murcia. The 30 min drive from Roda is well worth the trouble as food and vino is 5* plus.

We had to book for last Sat nite as it very popular with the local Murcians. They serve a 7 course set menu which almost all diners seemed to be having. This washed down with a bottle of their house Red only came to 40 euro each.

here is a nice one but its a bit of a drive though. Its called Rancho Blanco and is back down the ap7 motorway just past the tolls, take the 1st exit and go up what looks like a dirt track it has a small sign for Rancho Blanco. you will need to book as it is extremely popular with locals and tourists who have been lucky enough to find it. Advise you to pace yourself if you order the lamb as the thing is so big it hangs off the plate.I will dig out the phone number and post it later.
