Hi All

Is the club house open yet?  When does the beach club open for the season?  Am moving into Roda in 2 weeks time!

I dont understand all this about the club house it has something to du about some licens.

But ther is another thing I did hear that the mini bus will cost 10 euros to take you to the private beach, and this is not good news considering Polaris World run a free bus between the resorts.  It wont go down very well with clients booking..

We were told that the club house was going to be having its big opening over easter. I take it this did not happen.

I wish they would stop giving us bull shit and just be honest and let us know what and when thing are really going to happen.

 Lindy from previouse thread is renting our apartment  and  has just telephoned me to say that the golf club is not yet opened ,but state probably next week!!!!!!

The info on www.rodagolfinfo.com is not an official annoucement from Calidona.

The opening date may well be end Apr / early May but until there is a statement from Calidona its not confirmed.

Just received confirmation from the general manager of Devere Roda the opening date should be on or about the 23rd Apr 08.

was down at clubhouse last night and they are now stocking shelves in shop.

they are still saying 2 weeks in old clubhouse though

I just arrived in Roda on Tuesday and spoke to the staff in the temporary clubhouse as the new clubhouse was a hive of activity with lights on everywhere. They tell me that they are all being trained at the moment in making new coffees and cocktails etc and that the clubhouse is definitely opening on Wednesday 23rd April. The menu in the temporary clubhouse has been reduced to two short pages in the meantime and it is all systems go.

So fingers crossed that it all goes ahead which would be great news for all of us.

Fantastic news - we are so looking forward to our next visit!

Just back from Roda all the saff are saying the Club house will open on Wednesday. Pro shop was well stocked on Friday and lots more stuff was arriving cleaners have been going in all week so lloks like it will happen

Hi my parents are in roda at the moment and had a meal in the temp clubhouse and they asked the staff and now they are saying 1st of may before new clubhouse is to open

I have just come back from Roda and whilst there I spoke to the manager of the clubhouse who said it would definitely be opening on the 23rd April. They also think the beach club will be ready in June so we can look forward to a great summer!

On a less positive note, judging from the site there has been no apparent progress with the hotel or commercial centre, although to be fair I didn't ask anyone for an update.

We are also just back from Roda. We drove to have a look at the beach club. It looks very far from being ready in June. The building is back to grey concrete, there are many building materials lying about, the plunge pool looks disgusting and the surrounding area leaves a lot to be desired! Hopefully we shall be proved wrong!.

Don't suppose Roda owners will get an invite to the clubhouse opening?
