Hello everyone!

Hi All

just been looking at the threads on this site and started to think how many of you are thinking of moving lock stock over to San Juan when it is all finished. As I am sure it will be finished at some point in the future as it is not just a dream, Pam and I are hoping to move in 2010 and were wondering how many more were going to move or just rent there home out. I am only asking as there seems to no new  threads added, are you all losing interest.

We're selling up and moving out there lock, stock & barrell, our ferry tickets are booked for the 14th May, one way. We are currently emptying our house and arranging our leaving party for family & friends. We have rented a villa not far from the development on a long term rental but having been round the show home cannot wait until we can move in. At least we will be able to start living the life as soon as we get there.

We are buying on Phase 4, due to complete Oct 08.

 

Initially we will be using our place in San Juan as a holiday home for ourselves and the family.  We intend to spend most of the winter months there, probably returning for Christmas and going back at the beginning of February.  We think that eventually we will jlike the lifestyle so much, and our health will improve so that the decision to sell up and move to Spain will be made for us.  We would miss our 3 young grandchildren who we see regularly  but as our new friends in Spain tell us they see their families more now than they did when they lived in UK.  Isnt it great to have a sun-drenched dream for the future !!!!!!!

We intend to have our place (phase 1) as a hoiday home and letting to family and close friends.

Can't wait to get it all completed but still won't relax until all stresses have finished. Euros not very good at the moment!/ bank guarentee needs renewing (just in case) and we will not (upon advice ) complete until habitation license has been issed and we can see it. What do you all think?

We also don't want to move in until we have the habitation licence, fortunately we have rented a villa for when we move over in May with a flexible term, so if there are delays in the licence coming through we should be ok. My hubby gave his notice to work yesterday, he finishes end April then just a couple of weeks to empty the house before we move. I am really lloking forward to spending our first summer over there.
