Internet Techy Question

Does anyone have any recommendations for suppliers of outdoor furniture or any advice as to what is the best type to buy i.e. wood or plastic or aluminium mesh?

We used D&G furniture in the precinct near the hotel 525.

Terry the owner can order any thing you see elsewhere at cheaper prices.

He also usually has some nice patio furniture in stock.

We bought 3 piece all weather whicker which looks chic.

 

 

anyone bought a large solarium umbrella?
if so would it be best to fix it to tiles, or fill base with water/sand, or get concrete base?

When we purchased our solarium umbrella we were advised that the base is the most imprtant thing. It can get windy up on top and if you just use a sand or water filled base the weight would not hold a large umbrella when the wind blows. We went for a four slab base I think the total weight is about 100kg and is as it says it  four parts. You have to pick your spot carefully as you dont want to move it every half an hour. We also used Terry from D&G down in the town and he gave us lots of advice on umbreas and bases and sorted everything out for us.

Never leave your umbrella up, if you are not present, particularly on a rooftop solarium, you could have a tonne weight on the base, when the local winds pick up, you will lose the umbrella one way or another.
