I am interested to know if anyone attended the meeting at the Melia Hotel ?

We finally got our official notification of the meeting yesterday (11th Feb)  !!Thank goodness for this web site.

Before the meeting I wrote a long and detailed fax to our administrator with copies to other "high up "Ballester employees. My main points were the access through the large gates and security and the cleaning up of the outside areas generally.Also use of the Melia sports facilities - we were told we would have free use of the indoor and out door pool and the gym - with a small charge to use the tennis courts etc. However I think that the spa has been sold off to another company and that this perk may not apply any longer.

I have had no response and am wondering if others have any further information ?

Can answer some of the questions regarding the use of the Hotels facilities.

We used the outdoor swimming pools and childrens water slide at the hotel in August and this was free of charge, although you need to show your Ballester owners card which can be obtained from the Ballester office opposite the hotel.

We used the indoor swimming pool in January and this cost 6 euros from memory for use of the pool and jacuzzi. Please note the water was quite cold. You are also obliged to wear a swimming cap which can be purchased at the hotel for a further 4 euros each. To use the sauna as well was an extra 3 euros.

Also in the summer, we used the paddle tennis courts ( a mixture of tennis and squash) which is very popular in Spain. This cost 9.60 euros for an hour. As a resident, we seem to enjoy a 20% discount from the price of some activities. For instance the paddle tennis is advertised at 12 euros.

What are others doing about the postal boxes because we have been advised to set up a p.o. box at the post office because of lack of security - it was someone in the Ballester office who advised this.

Also have  other people sorted out standing orders or direct debits to pay the electricity and water ? If so any info would be really handy.
