Spoke to rachel avellano at PP 21/5/07 to ask if we have any updates. They have been in touch with the builder within the last 2 weeks and we have a completion date on our apt. of June/ July (this year). Bit of an overrider though if this date runs over of course it will be Spanish holidays in August so it could go back to September ( so what's new?) I asked if the water and elec. issues had now been resolved. To the best of her knowledge everything is in place for the builder to start finishing off. She also said that 37-59 were due Sept. onwards.

Is anyone due to go out soon that can confirm progress is being made or does anyone have friends out there who can go and see?

I can't give any other info to those people who have properties lower down who have dealt direct with the builder, sorry. I can only relate this info to PP clients. However as before we will not be holding our breath nor cracking open the Cava just yet.

Latest from PP;

"The following is the latest update given by the builder on El Zoco development.

water problem has been sorted out

  1. electricity problem is in process of being resolved, the builder is waiting for the electric company, Sevillana, to put a transformer in place
  2. apartments numbers 61-80 are completing
  3. apartments numbers 1 to 60 are still under construction, the builder said they cannot confirm the exact date for completion

Unfortunately, there is not much we can do to make builder speed up the construction work. The builder is not responding very well to the enquiries of agents or clients. We are aware that lots of clients are dissatisfied with the situation. The best advice I can give you at the moment is to go direct to the builder with the complaint as you have a legally binding contract with the builder and he has a legal obligation to respond to clients.  Us an  agent cannot legally represent you."

Cheers,

Blighty
