Block 271

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone could give an update on the progress of block 271.

Minimal work going on earlier this week,  half rendered on Monday there was a couple of workers on the ground floor tilling the floor. 

Hopefully now the island block is nearly finished they  move the labour to 271 but this is Spain and polaris so you never know. 

I'm back out again in 2 weeks so I'll take some pictures. 

Thanks for your reply.  Heres hoping things will progress now that the Island block is nearly completed.  Photos would be much appreciated as we are currently in the process of buying a ground floor apartment in that block and they were just starting to tile when we were out a couple of weeks ago.

Crane is busy and now four or five workers. Have also noticed some movement on 272. Nobody working on La Isla now. not much to photograph at present, 271 half rendered white at present.

Took this a few days ago,  they are progressing slowly  not much more will happen in August as most of spain are on hholida.  

Nobody working on 271 for last week, as Richard says either on holiday or not being paid. What completion date have you been given?

Hi,  like Jaykay we too have just bought in block 271,  1st floor . The Sun Peninsular sales women said the block was expected to be completed end September or start of November. However given the amount of work that is still to be done and the lack of builders we don't expect it until December. The contract says completion in last quarter. 

On a separate note,  is there a residents Web site like Torre info. com? I was after a copy of the community rules,  etc. 

Hope folks don't mind but I've got loads of questions buzzing in my head and I've seen that there's a wealth of knowledge on this site 😁

There isn't a dedicated website for terrazas,  here is about the best place so feel free to ask anything,  there is a Facebook page that is growing now more properties are selling.

Congratulations thorpej2!  Our contract also states completion for last quarter, although when we were over it was thought this could be sooner, however,  with the current progress being made, it doesn't look likely.

We bought a first floor apt in this block about 7 years ago but after 18 months and no progress whatsoever we transferred to an already built apt on Condado de Alhama, which was meant to be completed after the conclusion of terrazas de la torre.

this was the best move we have ever made, and especially after the fall of Polaris world Condado is a thriving and forward moving multi cultural society, I wish you all well on terrazas and hope you are as happy as we are.

i agree Condado is very nice - but we chose Terrazas for the open space and potential.  We live in hope that the potential is realised - its certainly getting busier.  I actually advised JayKay to make sure they looked at Condado to when they came over.

No regrets from me on picking Terrazas - except you guys have a coffee bar mmmmmm - i can but dream  - one day lol

Hi all, I've just been reading some of your posts and we put our deposit down on la Isla in June 2013 and was told that everything would be completed by December/January time. It's now August 2014 and they are saying completion will be next month so we will have to wait ans see........ 

As a word of warning, we would advise anyone who has been told a completion month to not actually book flights too far in advance. Assuming we would have had our apartment completed and furnished by now, it has proven quite costly as we have had to rent again for our holiday over next week.

TThe latest Island block has stopped and started a few times so I'm not surprised it's gone over,  sorry you've had to wait so long,  took this last week I had a good look around,  it's all finished from what I can see so just the paperwork side of it now,  don't forget to get you welcome packs off polaris it had important documents in it, like habitation certificates they won't tell you about it.  Good luck hope to see you out there enjoying the sun soon.

If any of you on the resort at present go anywhere near Block 271 could you have a look to see if work is progressing please. We were over a month ago but with it being holiday time the builders were few and far between. The developer sales lady has promised updates but nothing yet and you can't beat and independent view. Our contract says completion in Q4 so they do need to be getting busy.

I have just came back and our apartment is still not ready. After walking around, there looks to be a lot more work needed on your block. They said we were getting ours last December/January but it will be more like the end of next month. I wouldn't get yourself worked up about it, it's Spain! I was stressing because our contract said the same. Our advice would be don't book any flights until you have a definite date (apartment totally finish) as we have made that mistake this summer.
