Sky/Satellite TV in DV - Options and what to bring

Hi,

We will be moving into our apartment in DV in a couple of months. I've heard some units are wired for Sky or some other satellite service.

Can anyone confirm what we need to bring (e.g. sky+ box) etc, do we need to subscribe to Sky directly in the UK or do you have to pay somebody in spain for the subscription?

I presume Sky 3D and HD etc are not available?

HI, wellcome to Dv, all apartments are resdy to receive TDT DIGITAL SPANISH FREE VIEW TV (about 45 free channels and 3 paytv channels),CANAL SATELITE  SPANISH SAT TV PLATFORM (digital pay tv channels , 150 channels ) and SKY TV ,

Its is cheaper to suscribe in UK and bring your SKY HD + BOX to DV. YOU CAN RECEIVE ALL CHANNELS HD AND 3D ALSO, IT DEPENDS ON YOUR CONTRACT PACK.Even you can recdeive freeview channels without suscription only with your sky hd box.

If you pay here to a spanish agent they have to contract in UK and it has an over cost for you because in Spain SKY tv cannot make legal contracts, they have no rights to broadcast here.

 One thing, though - I don't think you can make use of the record facility on the sky+ boxes as it isn't dual LNB.   (I don't know the correct technical terms - sorry!)  I recall someone else mentioning this before.  If it has changed, then I'm sure someone else will 'pop in' to the thread and confirm.
