hi, can anyone recommend the best way to get Internet on site. I know we can go to the shop but I would like to be able to access it at anytime. Thanks.

Hi,

we went with the tv and internet package from Polaris World Telecom, It was a one-off charge for digital tv (basic selection of channels incl main UK ones) and I went for a pay as you go wired internet connection as not over there enough to go for a pay monthly option. For this you just use the AreaNet cards (the same as the internet kiosks).

Organised it via email and had it installed when we were last over. No problems.

The package cost

tv = 180 Euros

internet modem = 68.97 euros

+18% VAT= 293.78 euros

 In addition to the TV package, I also have the Internet package which costs 37€ a month incl. VAT from PW Telecom / A2Z.

Works fine.

 They install a network modem. Then you can for example add a wireless router. I did this without problems.

Thanks for the info. Our apartment only seems to have a network point but no phone socket. Is this normal?

 The telephone plugs into the same socket, phone needs an RJ11 connector.  Your also need to get the line connected.

Today i bought a mobile internet dongle from ' The phone house ' at Dos Mares in San Javier. It cost 29 euros for the Dongle 'Yoigo' and its 3 euros per day pay as you go. Works fine and i,m using it as we speak on the balcony at our apartment

Decisions! Decisions! If we use the area net thing at home do you have to pay for line rental ? For the dongle how fast does it seem and is their a limit to use for the day?
