Hi Cuadra

The pool is not open. The latest we know is that there is not enugh money in the communal pot to pay for the pool to be open this year. There are currently only c10 properties paying into the pot on a monthly basis and when the lifts, gardener, cleaners etc are paid for there is very little left over. When the newer apartments are taken up and more apartments are paying the monthly charges the community budget will hopefully run to opening the pool, maintanance lifeguard? etc and also as a community we will have to decide how many months of the year it will be open for etc.

When the new licences are in place  Romanber will effectively become owners of the unsold properties and should be expected to pay their monthly fees to the  apartments community in the same manner as the rest of us. If we ensure this we should have ample to pay for pool costs, but I suspect it will be for next year now

regards

Hi.

I am in one of the houses and just back from Arcos. I am not sure what is going on with the apartments but I thought that the whole place looked much better then the last time I was there. There seems to be a steady progress but I was told that the workrate is slow. At least they are still working. It's pretty quiet around the apartments, I have not met a single occupant. Having said that I saw lights at night in some of the windows. The pool that can be seen from the road, the round one, looked to me to be still in the the same state as it was in a year ago that is it looks finished but only about a quarter filled with water.

The new part of Arcos seems to be really picking up with some new shops opening and more spanish people moving in and settling down. The road  behind the apartments is open and a sitting area has been build. I must say that I was positively surprised by Arcos in general. I had expected a more depressed and run down place due to the economic crisis. Instead it looks fantastic and even so some shops have closed others have opened.

Also for those who might have to deal with the authorities. I found them very helpful and not stressful at all and somehow there always seems somebody to be around who can speak english. That is good news, isn't it? That's helpful until we are all fluent spanish speakers , eh?

Hi all - did those of you waiting to complete in Phase 2 get the e-mail from Luis Mendez this week with a copy of the Licencia de Primera Ocupacion? He says we will have to wait until September, after the holiday season, to complete. Has anyone agreed any concrete dates yet?

For those already on the site, does this mean the pool is also open now? Somehow I imagine not.
