W e completed on phase 4 a in early June. We wanted to be able to use our apartment for the summer months.Luckily for us we had heard about Superior Interiors, the lady behind the name is Moira Mc Gee.From the moment we first had contact with Moira we knew we had made the correct decision.Once we had established our budget Moira set about giving us ideas and prices. She sent colour photos  of samples , prices also. There was no hard sell as is common with some others on this forum. You can pick and choose with Moira as much or as little as you want to purchase. Before we bought we were taken to see the extensive showrooms where Moira buys much of her furniture. Once you decide what you want , Moira looks after everything else , delivery , installation, any snags that crop up.Nothing is too much trouble for her.She also looks after the little things, fittings for bathrooms, kitchen utencils, etc. She has excellent people at her disposal for putting drawers in wardrobes, installing electrical items, painting(we changed colour of some walls).Moira also does all the shopping for the kitchen and everything else you could possibly want when you first move to a new apartment. She provides you with receipts for everthing she buys. Not only that but the day of our arrival she had the apartment in tip top shape, beds made , fridge stocked, you name it Moira had it all covered. The name Superior Interiors is indeed a fitting name for her operation. Moira made the transition from an unfurnished apartment to a new home for us a very pleasant experience. She also has a very good relationship with the customer services people at Roda , they respond to her quickly and sort out any problems. If any purchaser would like to p.m. me about our experience with Moira I would be delighted to respond or you can email direct to superiorinteriors@live .com Tommy and Kay

Congratulations Tommy and Kay .

We also used Superior Interiors for our villa as did it seems quiet a few others here in Corvera. Over the last month we have met a few of them and like you and us, were extremely happy with how everything turned out. Our experience was exactly the same as yours.

I think it is only fair when somebody is doing an excellent job they should get the credit they deserve and  other should be made aware of their service.

Thanks again for everything Maura

Also take a look at DFS in San Javier. Several of my clients have used them and I must say that the quality of the furniture is always excellent and the prices they have paid very very competetive. If there is a problem with something getting damaged by renters, they are also very responsive in getting it sorted out, which for me as a property manager is very important. Good luck to all.

Hello Pam ,with all due respect you are trying to compare apples and oranges here under the banner of Interior Designer.

We went to DFS  and they are a furniture shop full stop and like everywhere you will get what you pay for.

They did not provide the service we required which was very important to us as we both have demanding jobs in the UK.

We wanted to hop on a plane last month, walk into our villa ,open the fridge which was fully stocked ,relax with a bottle of wine chesse and ham etc, watch TV and have a good nights sleep in the most comfortable I have ever been in.

I did not want to spend our holiday in shops and trying to work out who can we trust here and dreaming about  IKEA.

The brief  was simply as above, and  Superior Interiors delivered  exactly what we wanted.

Following all our research with the hardsell people etc that Fair Dues mentioned  tonight ,in hindsight we had a narrow escape as that unfortunate business mentioned on the fourm today was also recommended to us.

As we said before ,the service provided  by Superior Interiors and Maura was exceptional,

I am a shopaholic and thought it would be fun to furnish our apartment BUT after 2 days of traipsing around wasting valuable time I was soon fed up and delighted to find out about the services of Superior Interiors.    Everything then became so simple I could select from her suggestions offer my own and she did everything for us, it was wonderful and now I have all my "holiday" time to use enjoying our apartment.   We arrived to find the whole place ready and we were relaxed from the minute we walked through the door.  Moira also introduced us to wonderful people like Mike Banks who was a lifesaver and did all the jobs that I would normally have to nag my husband to do so everyone was happy and we could sit and enjoy a well deserved glass or 2 of vino from day one.  We also saved a fortune on flights, car hire, time off work etc as we were kept fully up to date by emails and photos, it made perfect sense.

Canela,

The only thing DFS have not had to do for my Clients is fill the fridge as we do that for them, the rest they do, including making beds, laying dining table etc for arrival if required. I am not saying anything against Moira, but make sure you shop around for the best prices even if its just on the interent. Nothing is ever free in Spain, or indeed anywhere and the bottom line price is always important.

Please email me on superiorinteriors  at live.com for information as  email address on my signature and I will let you know my fees as it appears that I cannot clarify to Pam what my services are but she can promote a furniture company on every post that she makes.

I was simply responding to some lovely compliments from my clients but my response to Pam to clarify that I do not do "packages" and that all my clients' properties are different and unique did not sit well with the advertisers on Eye on Spain. I clarified only that I will shop anywhere that the client wishes me to even on line and am not tied to one supplier - unfortunately my supplier is a bonafide Spanish company which does not advertise on this site or my post would have been allowed to stand. I did mention El Corte Ingles, Carrefour and IKEA in my post but again this has been deleted as well even though I was telling people that I will shop anywhere for them. It is very disappointing that my posting which is simply clarifying what I do ie shop around has been deleted to allow for someone who is promoting only one company ie no choice for the client.

Perhaps the moderator will show some even handedness and delete that post also or have a look at Pam's many posts promoting DFS - could it be that she works for them or only uses their services in which case she is advertising. Or is it that advertisers on Eye on Spain call the shots when recommendations are made by genuine clients who use a business and the businesses try to set the record straight.

Moira

I am about to refurnish my apartment and having lived her for 3 years and know where to shop I am still going to use the shops that Moira uses.  The furniture is good quality and there are lots of various price options available.  Its easy to opt for a "package" when you are busy completing and its all new its only once you have been here a while, had the opportunity to look around in a more relaxed manner that you realise what beautiful things there are available in places you would never have found on your own.   Whether your new acquisition is for rental or a second home you still want the best for your budget, so make sure that you have the opportunity of choosing what you really want and not just what´s available in one shop.

Its hard work shopping in Spain in the heat so good luck.

Moira,

Its nothing personal, sorry, it is the Tag of "Interior Designer " that is the issue. I have just over 60 properties on my books and for insurance and letting purposes I have full inventories, many including all invoices. They are from many different suppliers and several are by so called interior designers, one in particular who has done work on the Caladonia resorts but alot on HR in Sucina.  (Not MOIRA) The variations in price for the same items is massive being considerably less where the client went to the store themselves. I am not just talking 50 or 60 euros on a leather chaise sofa, I am talking 400 or 500e  adding up to thousands over the entire property. Alot of the services offered could have easily been carried out by a good keyholder who always have contacts for electricians, plumbers, painters etc as part of their portfolio.  I have recently been involved with a property on El Valle that flooded (it was a neigbouring property to one of my clients and they noticed the water). We ended up dealing with it liasing between the client and the insurance etc. The property had originally been furnished by an Interior Designer and had cost over 26,000e in total and I am sure it looked nice before the flood but I saw it after and all the furniture was wrecked mainly because of how poor the quality was, all the table and cabinet legs were laminated chipboard, as were the storage bed bases and so they had expanded, the fabric sofa was wrecked (any would have been as the water was about 3" deep). The curtains were sorted by dry cleaning, the electricals were all tested OK. The reason for saying this is that the replacements including Leather Sofas and hardwood furniture  came to under 7000e so where did the other 19000e go in the first place.      I recommend openly because it is purely a recommendation based on my personal experience and I dont get or want anything for it.  Where people want to PM to give more information usually means they want more information from the enquirer, possibly to pass on BEFORE the client goes to the place.  I wonder why. I will go back to my original response and say SHOP AROUND  before you commit to anything, and then get a good KEY HOLDER or Interior Designer if you think you need one. Happy Shopping

I cannot imagine anyone who has met Moyra having an issue with the name tag "interior designer".  Possibly "furniture consultant" or "personal shopper" would be better as that describes the job that she does but the flair and imagination she displays is not really captured in that title. My daughter has completed on Phase 3 having swopped from Phase 4B and has used Moyra's services and the title is simply an indication of what one can expect from that person. Moyra was left to her own devices to choose artwork, curtains and some furnishings and the apartment is perfect without breaking the bank.

Clients are more interested as you say in the bottom line and when you consider that my daughter spent almost 3,000 euro less that the Calidona package price and has a far superior apartment with absolutely everything in it and on her terraces, I think that says it all. Hewood, Canela, whitetrio and micasaaqui on this thread also think this about their experiences.

Pam1966 spain I understand that you have had a bad experience with someone who ripped off your clients royally but surely if your experience with an interior designer on another resort has nothing to do with Roda Golf, Superior Interiors or the services to which the previous posts refer you would be better putting them on a forum for that resort so that potential clients are forewarned and not here which is a thread started by people who have had a highly satisfactory resolution to their quest for a tastefully and well furnished property without spending the earth.

We are simply posting about our very good experiences to help people who are confused and like us want someone to wave a wand and it will all be done no matter what job title they use. Good luck to all new owners in Roda Golf especially those on the new Phase 4.

Lorraine

Pam

I am glad that you have clarified that you have a problem with the title on this thread and not with me. Your experience on the place in Sucina has nothing to do with me and is not how I do business as the testimonials show.

I know that I have certainly more to do than spend the time going back and forward with you on this issue. I have clarifed how I work and you have made it clear that you have an issue because one of your clients was taken for a ride by an interior designer on a resort where I do not work. I too have had experience of replacing "package" furniture which was not fit for purpose and purchased at prohibitive prices by people who thought that it was the only way to go.

Let us leave it at that and assume that potential clients are intelligent enough to work out when they are being cheated and when they are getting a superior service. Good luck with your business.

Moira

Hi Moira

I take it that you are a fully registered company, obviously paying taxes etc. Do you have a website where I can find details about your services? As I would be interested to take a look at it if you have.

A friend of mine got taken for a ride by a guy offering similar services to what you do. Unfortnately he paid out money up front to the so called " Interior Designer" and never saw him again with the job only half finished. Therefore I am a little weary of "one man bands" to say the least.

If you have the time and the patience there are some nice shops in Murcia, Torre Pacheco, San Javier.  I have just bought a white leather sofa from  Neuvo Condeminium in Murcia for a bargain price but its the delivery that makes it difficult..   I have a little spanish which helps but I will be very relieved once it arrives.    If you have large items to buy it really is worth employing the services of Moira at Superior Interiors as she will do all the hard work for you and you can then shop for the nice bits which can be the fun part.

A lot of places close for the siesta so you have a limited time to shop.   Hope you manage to get what you want.
