does anyone know for certain whether you need building insurance in the apartments?

i have heard that the buildings are covbered by the comunity insurance but does anyone know for def if this is the case?

I am not sure what the community insurance covers.

But for my peace of mind, I have taken out building and content insurance which costs €163 per annum. This is with Alianz and is offered to Banco Popular customers. I had to make a small claim (€100) on contents and there was no fuss on the settlement and no hike in my year 2 premium.

Arun.
