I am looking to install some glass panels above the dividing walls on either side of my terrace. Has anyone done this? can anyone recommend a company that will do it at a reasonable cost?

Thanks Andy

 Hi everyone,

I eventually found a good company that could fit a quality product at competitive prices. There are many options available on the glass and installation. 6mm , 8mm, 10mm either standard , laminated , toughened in several options , opaque(white), slightly frosted, frosted and of course clear.
Considering the size required for most terraces at Don Juan, in my opinion “framed” 10mm toughened has to be the only "safe" option. Also with 10mm toughened you can go for 1 piece of glass only, rather than having an unsightly vertical separator in the frame which uses 2 pieces of 8mm glass.
See pictures below, I opted for slightly frosted which in my opinion I believe this is best for privacy and keeping clean. It also lets the light pass through which helps to keep the terrace nice and bright. Slightly frosted also blends in quite well and doesn’t look too unsightly which keeps the overall look of the apartment blocks looking good also
I used a company called Cristalino , they manufacture the frames locally and it takes approx 2 weeks from measuring up to date of installation. I was impressed with their professionalism, product and service and would have no issues in recommending them on to others. I will be using them for the full glass curtain option for the front of the terrace at some stage in the future.

contacts are Jonathan and Janne.  Tel: + 34 952 660 353/ 692 992 774
Best regards
Andy

I have had a couple of PMs on this. My post below referred to "side panel" glazing only within the covered roof line of the terraces. To comply with community rules, any glazing at the frontage of the terraces should be in frameless clear glass curtains only (this is always 10mm toughened clear glass) . I thought that this was common knowledge at Don Juan, but in case anyone is unsure this is just a reminder.

Contact a member the committee if you have any questions relating to the rules on this subject.

Best regards

Andy

Hello andy

It seems to me that it is of the voucher work.

I am also interresé by these works, can you give

myself an idea of the price for these two

realizations.
Thank you.

Hi Steff,

Price depends are size, spec and style of glass that you go for , I had quotes from other companies as high as 1100 euro. I would suspect that depending on size and spec you would be looking at between 400-600 euro for 2 peices of framed glass.

best to get Cristalino to quote as per your exact requirements.

Regards Andy
