Got a price of 20k euro for a private pool .30m2 in size.  Has anyone had one of these installed yet? do you need to spend anymore on heat exchangers and stuff?

Sounds a bit pricey, I would have thought a pool of that size to cost about 12k. Heat exchangers would be extra & definately needed if you want to swim in your own pool for more than 4-5 months of the year. Currently my pool here in Spain is 11 degrees!!

Hopefully we will be completeing on our villa on Phase 3B Dec/Jan and have been told we need to order the pool by 30th July.  Does anyone have any recent prices, Roda haven't come up with the options yet.

Hi
We are also on phase 3B and when we came over in April booked our pool with Roda.  We were told it was a sale price at 17000 euro plus tax for a 24metre pool but it does seem expensive.  We incorrectly thought that by booking it with Roda it would be finished at the same time as the villa and cause less conflict.  However, this has not been the case for others and it seems we will have to complete even if the pool is not done.  The extras do not form part of the contract.  At the time they also quoted for the saline system at 1429.65, heater at 5241,24, cover at 520,00 and something else which I do not know what it is for 520,00 euro!  We were told September for our villa completion.  Has it been put back now till Dec/Jan?  I have not had a read of the forum for a while so a bit out of touch.

Hi Mrs H,

We received an e-mail this week saying that estimated completion is due Nov/Dec 2008.  I'm optimistic that we may complete by the spring!

id say if you didn't buy from roda they will not allow you on their rental managment system. plus the pool must be fitted after hand over which means the vat is 16% not 7%. maybe im wrong (again).

Hi All,

We have now placed the order with Roda.  They did e-mail to say that as a villa owner we are not allowed to use the community pools and if we didn't install our own we wouldn't have use of a pool at all.  This has never been mentioned before.  I have asked the question what else we are excluded from but  they have ignored me to date.

i wonder if you owned some storage area/parking space under the apartments across from your villa would you be allowed to use the pool at a reduced community fee?

Hi Jan

There is a previous post somewhere in which many disgruntled villa owners are complaining that on paying their deposits they were told they could use all the communal facilities.  We even have an e-mail from Roda confirming this in 2006!  However, when the communities were set up different sections were introduced and this just did not happen. There are many villa owners who would be happy to pay community fees to use all the facilities but others are very happy that they do not have to pay. Therefore it became a bit of a contraversial subject and impossible to implement unless everyone was in agreement and of-course providing all the villa owners in a particular phase were prepared to contribute to the community fees.

After reading the posting by Ace I did check our agreement for the pool with Roda.  They have charged us 7% tax for the pool and 16% tax for the cover.  I think providing they have the order and have started the work for the pool you can save on the tax.  However, it is not completed until after hand-over.  So, I hope the tax situation does not change from our written agreement with Roda. Interesting point though.

Nicola

Yes you are right the tax rate is higher but my quote was still cheaper than Roda´s.

Also my quote included a shower and choice of fancy tiles and a couple of other things that were éxtra´with Roda so i´m quite pleased. I´ve seen some of there previous work and it looks good. Also ordered a salt system  for my skin which is a bit sensitve to chemicals.

Don´t know about the Roda management scheme to be honest as i´m not really interested in that side of things. We are only renting to friends and family etc.

Hope that helps.
