Have been informed from golf shop that the course will be closed for hollow tining of fairways on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday May 3rd, 4th and 5th. This is essential work which done at other polaris courses throughout the year. The practice facilities will still be open during this work.

It will be open for the society competition Friday May 7th which will be an individual stableford competition.

There is a competition sponsored by Canal+ on the weekend of 24/25th April which will be televised on that channel. Unfortunately it is a subscription channel, but it will be shown in the Clover.

Friday was a 3 person team event with the best two scores at each hole to count. There were some excellent score in bad conditions (it rained for most of the game).

One card was returned 15 minutes after the presentation which would have been in the prizes. So can players make sure they hand their card in by 6.30 pm to give the organisers chance to check the cards and make the presentation at 7pm.

The first players are usually back in for 5 pm and have a long wait until the presentation and people may have plans for a friday night out. 

Next week is a yellow ball competition where players in a 4 man team take turns to play the yellow ball, scoring double points when they have it (no pressure there then!). Yellow ball and next best score at each  hole to count.

A gorgeous sunny day in Condado.

Next week is individual stableford and we already have over 20 entries.

Today we have had an away day at Corvera due to our course being closed. Again we were made to feel welcome and enjoyed the course which is much easier than ours!

Winner of the stableford event with 38pts was John Pitman who just pipped his mate Kevin Smith (also 38pts)at the last hole by scoring 4pts.

Don't want to mention winning competition on back nine as it confuses some readers.

Today the golf shop was cleared out and we were told they are moving somewhere near the 1st tee.

While the course is not good they have reduced prices to 30E all day.

I see Kevin is starting to feature regularly in the prizes. It is not only his Spanish that is coming on well then ??

Look forward to having a game again next time over Kev. You might even be giving me the shot's next time if I don't get this hook sorted !!!

We bumped into them on Thursday in the clover, i hope you told them no naked swimming in our pool keep in your own jardin.

I thought that my golf was getting better until last friday it was a nightmare, so back to the drawing board.

Today it was an individual stableford played on greens which resembled bunkers. On the 6th hole Terry took 3 minutes to find his ball marker on the green!

However some players found it fairly easy as can be seen from the scores.

Found out at last minute that our long term reservation for 6 times had been cancelled and visiting party from France given our times. Polaris system has gone and we need to renegotiate with Olagolf.

Myself and Graham hope to meet with Olagolf manager next week to discuss our concerns and the way forward.

Hi Paul,

Simon does not have a formal handicap and played with the society last time we were out.  Barry just gave him the highest hanicap possible,  I think.

Sorry Guys,

I contacted Barry regarding an outing with the Society on Friday 7th May with my colleague Tom.  Unfortunately the ash put paid to that idea.  I notified Barry of our situation and said that we would hopefully join the Society the following Friday and would perhaps meet up in the Clover on the Wednesday prior.  The bottom line is, I mucked up and can imagine the hassle caused redrawing the Tee-Offs.  Once again, sincere apologies.
