tried in vain last week to book a flight to murcia from birmingham for september, everytime i went on their site it just kept coming up error on page after 3 days of trying i rang them up and she didnt seem to know what was wrong but would find out! this worried me as we allready have 1 booked to there for easter and 1 for july! eventually they got back and said its because they are not flying there!! " Oh well thats allright then! theyve had my money since october last year but couldnt be bothered to let me know. but i could still fly to Alicante! so ive had to change all the flights the times are horrendous, and of course all the car hire the only consolation being one of the hire cars is cheeper from Alicante.  what annoys me is when would they have eventually got round to letting us know! so in September we are going with bmi baby to murcia.  this is just to let anyone know who may be on these flights and doesnt know yet.

Hi Mark,

That`s a real shame, the way they treat people, I don`t know why they`ve stopped going to Murcia in the winter but we went with Ryanair, from Bham in November and just booked for, Feb, April & May....really cheap flights and to be honest it wasn`t the `bun fight` I had expected, really quite good. Mind you don`t take any hand luggage that wont fit into their sizing frame or you`ll get charged.

Also apart from Saturdays you fly out at 2pm ish & arrive back around 8:00pm which is spot on...

Good luck...

San Juan to Alicante is actually not too bad a drive.

We did it in December in 1.30 mins to the roundabout at Aguilas, generally people say allow 2 hours.  But trust me, whilst we were motoring, we were not driving at a pace of a F1 car.

And we missed paying the toll cost.

Not a bad drive actually - so may not be too bad.
