Whilst out at our apartment on the first week of November we had a knock on the door from "pc plod" on his bike, doing rounds in the Jardines. We where asked to take down our washing line as it was against the community rules, which he waved in our face.

I respected this, as I knew this already, and did the decent thing and took it down straight away!  I do not usually hang it on a rope on the solarium but it was so blooming windy that my clothes horse kept falling over and after frustration decided to join the club so to speak. What frustates me as the other lines of washing, a few doors down that are on permanent display (think must be a keyholder) where still there.  Has anyone else been told to remove unsightly belongings from their solarium?  What happens if we don't, do we get a fine?

Glad to see someone is attempting to enforce the rules  (and comply with them in your case Pauline). Improvise - tie off the clothes horse with your washing line to stop it blowing over. That way it stays below the height of your wall out of view.

Regards,

i know rules are rules but who decides what ones are enforced and which are not

examples

only white outside lights no black or silver

No satilites

only polaris brown fences at front

and the awning rrange from polaris cream to painted palletts

No dogs off lead another roaming about last time I was over

so what rules do we keep and enforce then

Hi

We were over from the 1st to the 10th November.

We are in Jardines 5 & there were two apartments with washing on the line.

One,. a three bed had washing on thier line for a couple of days. All bright colours & rather unsightly. the second only had whites & were not that noticable.

I supose it is difficult for those on the ground floor. However we have two immediate spanish Familys living on site & their washing is always at the rear of their apartment & always level with their wall so no one can see them unless you get up close.

As for the dogs, we too saw one dog off its lead, though it walked to heel & it was late in the evening.

the remaining dogs we saw were always on te lead.

Jan,

We are in a ground floor 3 bedroom. It is easy enough to put the washing on a hanger or line on your back patio and keep it below the height of the wall. Just a little bit awkward with full size sheets etc (so Jackie says ) It goes without saying that hanging washing up in the front patio in full vew of the gardens is a no-no.

I'm a bloke and wouldn't even think of doing that !
