Received an email from our solicitor today.  Taray do not expect to have the Licencia de Primera Ocupación until the end of the month and the Acta Final de Obra until mid October.  Completion probably not before the end of October.

Visited SC and did snagging on our prospective property this week. Agree with comments posted by others regarding quality of build and the site in general. However, we managed to produce a fairly long list of defects. We emailed these to Taray Tuesday pm, provided our contact details while in Spain, and asked if a representative could meet us on site to discuss the list before we left on Friday evening. No response by close of play on Wednesday so re-sent email. On Thursday returned to SC and asked Ester if she would telephone Customer Service to check that they had received our emails. Ester was told that they had just replied. When we looked at our emails later that day we found that the reply merely stated that our emails had been passed on within Customer Services. No further response from Taray so left on Friday exasperated. We will now ask our solicitor to follow up.
Hate to be negative but based on the way that they respond to customers it is difficult to believe that Taray actually want to sell these properties. Perhaps they hope we will become so p****d off that we will walk away and let them pocket the deposit!

The person who manages the process for Taray is a guy called Fran and you can get him at the main offuce but he is difficult to get to site

You are in a unique position as you have not yet completed howvever there is ano legal responsibility for the developer to repair the defects untill after you have completed and then they have one month to repair the defects

Whta is KEY is that you get the snagging list translated and have it included with the paperwork when you complete at The Notary so that it becomes part of a LEGAL contract

If you would like to PM me or mail me off forum I would be happy to help you with the defects and your rights and give you some idea on what items will be repaired and how and how to deal with issues

Thanks for the post Roy - all advice gratefully received.  We are represented by a highly regarded law firm and have every confidence they will manage the process for us.  With the lack of response we are concerned that Taray might dispute some defects on our snagging list.  Would be pleased to accept your kind offer to give an opinion on the items and will email the list to you off forum.
