Does anyone know if there will be a communal policy to cover the buildings insurance of the apartments or does everyone just have to organise their own insurance?

As far as I know you organise your own. My lender arranged mine, with contents, for about 14 euros per month.

You can get insurance through the banks also but I was quoted EUR240/year
