Anyway they deserve all they get - should never have got rid of Allardyce, he'd have kept them in mid table mediocrity for 10 years which could be relative success for them. Think they are a big club because of fan base but that gives you no right to be in the big league.

As we've learned there is no substitute for having a great manager and the fans need to be patient.

Dakey's head is spinning with Ronaldo gone and all that money now to spend. Isn't it so easy to support a club that can win only because of the financial clout it has. In the long run they will lose their soul (and are well on the way there). Even Roy Keane knew it, he called them the 'prawn sandwich' brigade; sometimes there would be more atmosphere at a Sunday league game than there is at Old Trafford on a Saturday but never at a Goodison or Std de Light where there will always be REAL fans !

I have followed United since I was first taken to the theatre of dreams aged 2, that was 50 years ago. So from that you will realise that I was still loyal to the cause even during the 25 years when we did not win the league and a relegation. I do not like some of the things,driven by money, in the modern game, but we still attract over 50,000 local people like me at every home game[Manchester evening news poll] along with our 20,000 add on prawn sandwich brigade. We are just about to extend the ground again to 95,000 capacity with the new tickets pitched at low paid working class people resulting in over 70,000 locals at every home game. Now that is proper support, unlike clubs like Newcastle, or Everton whose crowds during lean spells drop off alarmingly. Talk about fair weather supporters. The trick is to stick with it through thick and thin then you can be called true supporters, unfortunately there are not enough of them at clubs like yours.
