Letter from Taray's Accountant

Has any one else received a letter from Taray's accountant asking for how much deposit Taray are holding towards the property. It is an unusual way to estimate the value of 100 of deposits Taray are holding.  I was told the deposits are held in a separate account..

They have included a stamped/addressed envelope to return the form in. Good thinking.

We too have received this letter we E mailed this to our solicitors,  and they said it was fine and all above board and that we should just fill it in and send it back.

We received these letters last year when we had paid a deposit - we were told that it was a spot check from the auditor for Tarey accounts and thiat this is normal for the letters to be sent to some of the customers that have paid a deposit in the financial year.

I too received one this week. Undecided whether to return it or not.

As an ex auditor I can confirm that this is entirely normal practice as part of the year end audit of a companies accounts. Whilst we are under NO obligation what so ever to return the letter, on this occasion there is nothing to be concerned about.

But if for whatever reason you don't feel inclined to return the letter then don't do so - there is no comeback against us.
