Licence of 1st Occupation/Habitation Licence

Hi All,

Just a short note to advise that the licence is now through from the local council. I popped into the Town Hall last week while over for a holday and had a chat with Maria. She gave me a photocopy of the licence concering our property.

If you want your own copy, you can pop in to see Maria Carmen on the 3rd floor and ask to view it. She is in the 3rd office on the left. From what I see no appointment is necessary and she speaks very good English. Mind you nobody else speaks English there so if she is not in her Office, you might want to pop back in later or have a go at the lingo.

The original licence is with the builder now and Maria advises that he will arrange for the fitting of electricity meters etc. and send the licence on to us at a later date. No doubt this heralds the end of the free electricity but it is nice to now have it all legal and proper as far as the local council is concerned.

Was great to meet you both and the girls and looking forward to meeting up again in the summer.  Talking of which can anyone recommend a cheap care hire company?  I can't find anything cheaper than £450 for 18 days hire - I thought that expensive???  Maybe they saw my driving when we were out at Easter.............
