At long last , after a series of delays and over 3 years since signing on the dotted line to buy  a villa on Roda Golf Resort ,we have been contacted to come over to Murcia and check out the property.Up to now i,ve not  been impressed with Roda resort staff - we were taken aback to discover on our last visit (Oct 2008) that we would not be allowed to use any community swimming pools as we were not part of the community ! (surely  some sort of  agreeable as regards an annual fee payment between villa owners and the community could have been made before now? ) - although the sales person told us at the time of the sale" you will have free use of any of the surrounding pools as a villa owner " - when I brought this up with the staff in October they said "can you show us that agreement in writing". Having now been told that our property can be viewed(pay for the outstanding sum!) I would appreciate any advice from any other owners on pitfalls that can  be avoided.

Many thanks in advance.

The villas are pretty good but you should check the property for snaggin defects, BEFORE, you complete

If you send me an e-mail I can send you a copy of the completion advice guide plus some sample snagging reports for villas that we have checked on the development

Hello Golfingbhoy

I can recommend Inspectahome to do your snagging and would also recommend Calida International Properties to be your key-holder and manage the property.  Stuart from Calida has a good relationship with Roda and consequently we have found Roda to be quick to sort out our snagging without us having the stress.  We were lucky though because our villa was in really good condition.  I have sent you a pm with more details.
