Jumilla wine festival

Does anyone know the dates for the wine festival in jumilla this year.

went last year and no way am i missing this years one.

We haven't seen anything advertised yet, as there are several other things going on (including the Feria del Amor!) and of course the next big event will be Semana Santa,  We will post on here as soon as we find out specific dates, but it will definitely be around the middle of August.  If you want to keep an eye out yourself, here is a link to the official website:  http://www.jumilla.org/turismo/fiestas.asp#vino

I think I remember from last year there is usually a festival where they throw tomatoes at each other.  That sounds like fun and August sounds about right. Maybe someone will know the date for that one.  Sue its over to you.  Hope you are well.

The Tomatina is not in Jumilla it is in the Valencian Region I will ask  Darren for you  he went last year

Tomatina is celebrated annually at Bunol or spelt Bunyol, last wednesday in August.

This year 26.08.09.

Yes, we are both well, thanks.  We have visitors at the moment, so I've not had much chance to reply to posts!  However as Linda and Maylin said, we don't throw tomatoes here in Jumilla, only wine!
