Outdoor Furniture (3 bed)

     Can anyone let us know where we can get good quality outdoor furniture at a reasonable price? any information is appreciated.

I have just returned from an eight day visit and visited numerous stores that are named on various threads. Even with sales on there were no real bargains to be had. I have opted to buy in the UK and arrange for Allan to transport a number of items out for me.

You may be lucky and find some bargains in Spain - sadly I couldn't on this occasion

I had the same problem with getting garden furniture over here, it was either really cheap(and crap) or really expensive. I have recently met a nice guy called pete who sells garden furniture, all his stock is in the UK and he arranges delivery and set up here in Spain, his prices are very good and i have just ordered a suite of outdoor rattan for 30% less than the average i was qouted.

he calls his company  garden furniture spain and i believe his web site is now up and running.

Mention rob from calpe and he may buy me a pint LOL

€3 - 4000 for a teak dining table on the link below  if buying in Spain or £400 - £1000 in uk.  Hmmmmmmm  difficult choice. Allan ( nozzer on the forum) is going to CdA 3 times a week at moment so for me a bit of a no brainer especially if you ship a load of other stuff over as well .

I havent bought teak furniture so cant comment on the price of that, but i have been looking at Outdoor Rattan for over 6 months and Petes stuff is by far the best of the bunch, the cheap stuff you find in Ferri's is so bad I would think it would be a tempory fix, I went to a few show rooms up and down the coast and found a lot to be vastly over priced and not the style that i wanted. I will let you know when i take delivery tomorrow if Pete is a man of his word.

Can you give me any info on Nozzer, i need to bring some stuff over from the midlands, does his company have a web site and what size lorries does he run?

I was not saying there was anything dodgy about your man or his furniture and I am sure you have got a good deal for Spain. However as per your comments and those of other on other Threads there are not many bargains to be had in Spain for this type of furniture. This may well be due to larger demand because of either the climate which is suited to 'outdoor living' or the fact that there have been so many new builds recently which need furnishing etc, but the fact is that it is not cheap.

I also agree that it is false economy to buy the cheap stuff simply because it is cheap as it will work out more expensive in the long run. Everybody has different circumstances, but with the £/€ @ 1.06 the solution was to buy in UK and ship over as many other people have done.

It is pretty simple for outdoor furniture as there is more space, but is hard work initially if doing everything but the reward is huge savings. I know slightly off thread, but people are saying they are getting a good deal with white goods @€1200 ish for a package of unbranded goods, yet you can get the same in UK for around £500 ish. There are other considerations but like I say it appears the more you get here the more you save at the moment.

Hi just looked atthe Ratan furniture . We bought a large 2 seater setee ( Would sit 3 easilly.  2 Large Chairs . 1 long & 1 square glass topped coffee tables . a dining table & chairs all for under 1 thousand euros.

This was at Z beds in what we believe is a finale sale before the busines closses.

The ratan is i Good quality. But word of warning. The larger the pieces of furniture the harder it is to get it up the stairs if you have a two bed apartment. We couldnt get ours passed our apartment door until Carol ( angel babe) ca me to our Rescue.
