Habitation License for Phase 4 Block 11

Hi,

Has anyone had or got any news on the habitation licenses for Phase 4 Block 11.  Back in June we were told this had been applied for and would be received by the end August 08. While on  holiday end of August we went into the Site Office and was told that it should be any day now. What is going on, it is now almost the end of October and haver still heard nothing? We were led to believe the Town Hall had 90 days to grant the licenses.  Why hasn't this happened, is there a problem, if so why haven't we been notified!!!

Please, if anyone has any information at all would you please let us know.

I can't unfortunately shed any light on Phase 4, Block 11.

I was in Arenal 2 weeks ago in our place - Phase 4, Block 2. We completed end of April. In block 2 there are clearly many units - I would say 80% yet to be completed. Some may be delayed just simply due to the pace of things with the developer. I suspect that many of these however are cancellations. Overall we are very happy with the quality although there are some niggling issues like the garage doors not working, aircon, also the grass on the golf course looks burnt (except for the greens) - we were told it is being relaid.

Just a thought but it might be worth considering asking for your unit to be switched to Block 2 (or another one already completed), you may even have quite a good choice. Not sure how Priene Sur would react but I would have thought they would prefer to fill blocks which are still partially unsold rather than having another partially completed block coming onstream.

Hi - we are in Block 10 Phase 4 and also told that the end of August was the deadline date for the habitation license.  We are flying out there today (2nd November) and will go down to see Nuria and also our lawyer - Nuria promised us that the licence would be granted by the end of August - then the end of September - then end of October - who can you believe !!!  Will update this thread when I get back with hopefully some good news.  We were told the reason was that because the roundabouts had not been completed that the Town Hall would not issue the habitation licence.  We were promised completion April 2007 so not too happy with the situation at the moment.

Hi, according to the Arenal Golf Forum blocks 9, 10 and 11 will not be given an occupation licence until at least May 2009!  If you are really unhappy with the situation you do have an option to contact your lawyer and ask for the bank guarantee to be utilised.  This process takes approximately 6 weeks and you are entitled to your orignal deposit plus bank interest.

I was at the sales office last Friday and according to their latest information the following is what they expect 

Blocks 9,10,11  phase 4 released Late December 2008,the holdup is due to a dispute with the town hall over landscaping the hill between block 1 phase 4 and phase 6

Blocks 6,7,8 phase 4 released mid January.

They hope to have phases 6,7,8 and the clubhouse facility and tennis courts etc finished and released by end of May 2009. 

The entire golf course is being re-seeded due to contaminated water used on the sprinkler system during the summer. 

I gained access to my apartment on block 7 phase 4 and its ready for use electricity and water available etc.
