excess prices for car hire prices in spain

Do you have to take out extra insurance when hiring a car in Spain, I have previously hired cars and on the quotes it says no excess, but, when you get to Spain and pick your car up it's a different story, they want extra for undercarriage wheels glass ect., ect., does anyone know of a company where there are no hidden charges.

Does anyone else have the problem of thinking they have paid everything on their car hire only to get to Spain and have to pay ex amount of extra insurance for wheels, glass, ect., On the web sites it states no excess insurance,  no excess should mean no excess!!

Does anyone know of a company who mean what they say, and should you have a choice to may the extra for wheels and glass, my last hire company said no, it had to be paid, therefor it should be in the hire price. any info would be gratefully appreciated.

I have recently had the same problem with Gold Car. They really laid it on thick that my credit card could be charged an unlimited amount if the car was damaged. Later when I checked the small print, I think I was covered for everyting except tyres, glass and locks, but I will never go with them again.

I've had a quick search and marbesol & malagacarhire say everything is included. I've used Marbesol in the past and am sure when I arrived, they tried to get more money out of me. Anyone used them recently?
