Trip to Valle del Jerte

The Sports and Foreigner´s Department, through Diego Urieta is organizing a trip to Valle del Jerte in Extremadura starting with the 24th to the 27th of March.

The price per person in a double room is 250 Euros and includes: accommodation, coach for the entire trip, stay of 3 nights in 3* Hotel in Trujillo with all inclusive, with water and wine included in the meals, starting with the lunch in the first day and finishing with the lunch in the last day.  

Also, a guide will be present in the entire tour and travel insurance and excursions will be included in the program: Half a day to Cáceres. Half a day to Plasencia. Half a day to Valle del Jerte: Jerte, Cabezuela del Valle, Hervás.

These are all fabulous places. It's a shame you can't manage a drive down the EX203 from Plasencia through La Vera as far as Madrigal. It takes about an hour (each way) and goes through all the medieval villages and towns, incl Jaraiz, Jarandilla, Losar, Aldeanueva & Villanueva de la Vera. I think it's a more interesting drive than the Jerte Valley which is beautiful but a bit same ole, same ole after a while. Steep mountain on both sides of narrow valley. But stunning if you go over the top, which you probably will if you're going to Hervas, which is very interesting. I wonder whether you'll be there when they have cherries for sale everywhere. I've lived in La Vera for the last three years - it's paradise.
