Teleast TV services

Discussion re Digital TV providers

Teleast TV
13 February 2012 @ 22:31

Does anyone know of the present situation regarding Teleast and their provision (or lack of ) for the Costa Calida area, or cantact numbers. It appears their website address has now been cancelled.

March 2012 - managed to get through to their office who said Teleast is still operational and that their website was being updated and would be reinstated later.

Thanks for the update - I have tried calling their Los Alcazares office several times but got a recorded message saying number no longer in use and their website is now apparently defunct and available to buy.

Was in Spain 21st - 28th April. We lost internet connection but Teleast Engineer came same day and fixed. I'm in Pinar de Campoverde and luckily have a Teleast office right there on my doorstep. I just walked in and they booked the engineer for me.
However, i was talking to them in the office as they seemed very busy with calls regarding loss of TV. They told me it was due to Torresat (their transmitter supplier), scrambling Teleast customers siganals as Torresat had just been told they were transmitting illegaly? The Teleast assistant said that Teleast were going to get their own transmitters but in the short term would look to use somebody else's? Reading between the lines here, Teleast clearly seem to be just an agent with no transmitter of their own (yet), so therefore seem to rely on others to supply them with it. Could do with an update from someone in the Campoverde area as i'm back in the UK for a few weeks now.

I am with torre sat and do not have any problems at the moment, but 2 of our friends are with teleast and lost their signal 3 weeks ago. One was able after many times to get an answer from teleast and was told he needed a new card and
engineer would call to reprogram system, still waiting then after more calls to teleast manager said that they would refund one months subsciption still waiting for refund. He also said that all loyal customers would be getting their fees reduced to €13
a month after they get back online so has anybody else had this offer.
