Was going to Spain from start to finish but now I, Luca have taken over

When getting up this morning the sun was shining & from inside it looked like a super start to the day, but going out onto the terrace a chill wind spoiled it all. The beach was even cooler!

So its back to re-visit the places already viewed (& liked) & maybe to take a view photographs to see what a second view does for me. Tim has consented to go with us again & to show us a restaurant recommended to him. He will also show us some spectacular of the sierra's. He's a good egg Tim, although I am aware he's trying to sell me something.

Can't make up my mind whether to buy a dongle or not as I've never had any dealings with them. At the moment I am relying on "The Boat House" 50 yards away or Hotel Rui Monica which I can use very early or late at night for their hotspots.

Hi Gerald,
You might find that the weather may be a blessing in disguise, best to see different season's hence why my search took so long LOL.

Be wary of estate agents bearing gifts (or Lunch) times are difficult in Spain despite hype of some, although I am not full time in Spain I am in close contact with friends and neighbours (skype and other media) keep abreast of news via Spanish newspapers and of course blogs and forums. So therefore you are in a strong position as a buyer, be choosy do not compromise, your new HOME is out there.

Again best of luck with your viewings and look forward to your updates.

James

Gerry, I assume you're sticking to the plan you decided re it's best to rent for a while before buying...in which case it isn't quite so important where you stay for a few months as long as you have a car and can explore other areas? The places you mention are quite high above sea level and, as such, it will get very cold over the winter months! So make sure the place you decide on has good heating facilities and is well-insulated!

We went over to Nerja yesterday just to take a look at the area since we've never been before. It was so much nicer than we had imagined! We are definitely going to spend a few weeks there from the end of January to look around and we'll include Frigiliana in our agenda. Apparently, it's very pretty there.

We took the bus to Nerja yesterday just to take a look at the area since we've never been before. We were amazed to find it only cost us 7.61 euros each return from Malaga! Nerja is so much nicer than we had imagined. We are definitely going to spend a few weeks there from the end of January to look around the area and we'll include Frigiliana in our agenda. Apparently, it's very pretty there and a walk via google's 'streetmap' looks promising.

Sorry about the duplication, folks. I must have pressed Submit comment before I had made some additions to my post....

Hi Maddie,
Nerja is verybeautuful & friendly (but then I find most everybody in Spain is that way). It is not the cheapest part of Spain but then you pay for quality.

james, thanks for your advice but tending not to use estate agents any longer as am finding them distrustful (3 times I have been let down by them). Using private owners & little builders who live close by.
