Sales of safes in Spain up by 20%
17 June 2012 @ 20:05
I've just been reading an article in the Spanish press that says that sales of safes in Spain are up by 20% in the first quarter of 2012 compared to the same period last year. The reasosn for this are apparently due to people being worried about the state of the Spanish banks and also because of the increase in robberies and burlaries due to the crisis.
Safes have always been very popular in Spain due to the amount of black money needing to be safely stored. You can't put black money in to the bank so a safe is an obvious solution.
