Spanish retail sales down for the 12th month in a row

More grim news about the Spanish economy. Retail sales are down 7% year on year, with household goods showing a massive year on year decline of 18.1%. Retail sales have now falled for 12 consecutive months in Spain.
I don't think this any any great surprise. You just have to look at all of the empty shops, bars and restaurants throughout the country to get a feel for how bad things contunue to be.
