Unemployment in Malaga province is now 32.73%
01 May 2011 @ 11:49

Figures released last week show that unemployment rate in Malaga province has reached 32.73% in the first quarter of 2011, up from 30.65% the previous 3 months.  This is the second highest unemployment rate in Spain.  In total, there are 258,600 unemployed people in the province.

Things are even worse in Huelva, the province with the highest unemployment rate in Spain, where the unemployment rate has reached 32.9%.

That one in three people of working age in these 2 provinces is unemployed is truly a staggering figure for a developed economy.

What a mess!!
