Plan Moto-E extended until the end of 2010

The Council of Ministers approved a decree extending until 31 December this year or until funds are exhausted, the program of direct aid to the purchase of motorcycles, Moto-called Plan E, which only has exhausted 22% of its budget, since the entry into force in July 2009.

   
This extension will not increase the initial budget of € 9 million which was launched Moto-Plan E, which so far has committed two million euros, and maintain the same conditions as are in force in the today.

   
The Government stated that the purpose of this program of direct aid to the purchase is "to promote the renewal of the park by the replacement of motorcycles and scooters used by other new models safer and cleaner, as well as help the industry to the plight economic.

   
The average age of vehicles scrapped as part of this measure is 13.4 years, which is an improvement in terms of safety and reduction of pollutant emissions. Between January and May this year 11% of the purchase of motorcycles are welcomed to Plan Bike-E and since its launch there have been more than 10,000 operations.

   
The Government indicated that in recent months have increased the applications for this program, without having exhausted the initial budget for what he has decided to extend this initiative. Since this Plan is in force have been exhausted two million euros from the initial budget.

   
Plan helps Moto-E are divided into three sections. Mopeds (up to 50 cc displacement) are about 225 euros aid; motorcycles up to 250cc, 525 euros, while motorcycles with a cylinder capacity exceeding 250 cubic centimeters receive 750 euros.
