Villajoyosa is the capital of the `Marina Baixa´, in Alicante. La Vila, as it's usually called by the locals, stretches alongside a beautiful, palm-lined sandy beach which ends in the little port. The old walled village centre is a good place to stop and wander about. There are numerous tours organised by the museum to introduce visitors/locals to the cultural heritage of the town and its municipal area. Both the Old Town and the Chocolate Museum Tour are wheelchair friendly.
