San Vicente del Raspeig is situated in the metropolitan area of Alicante city and is a predominantly Spanish town. It has two cinemas, a leisure centre and excellent shopping facilities. There are approxiamtely 43,000 inhabitants. The city has many quarries of limestone which enables the existence of cement factories. San Vicente also sites part of the University of Alicante Campus. It is about 20 minutes from the resorts of Alicante and Campello, and 20 minutes from Alicante airport. The motorway that runs along the coast of Costa Blanca can be accessed within 5 mins.
