Salinas is a Portuguese and Spanish word meaning saltworks, salt mines or salt pans. The town is situated approximately 50km from Alicante airport and the beaches of San Juan. Around the village of Salinas you will find [lantations of olive groves, almond trees or vineyards. There is a choice of 3 hospitals around the area, as well as schools and it is very well connected by public transport.
